  'Experiences(tm)'! Made up or totally true??

  at one assembly(tm), i was asked to relate an 'experience(tm)' which i did.

  however, during rehearsals, the geezer in charge elder or co or some such title, told me that i shouldn't tell it the way it was.

  i did a 're-enactment(tm)' with another 'brother(tm)'.

  not having attended any meetings since about 2001, for reasons of safety (sounds a bit dramatic but i don't like my wife being out on her own late at night where we live now), i have started accompanying her to the mid-week meeting.. when i was young, the ministry school and service meeting were central to training brothers to take the lead.

  you were assigned instruction talks, then if you cut it, you moved pretty rapidly to public talks - a full 55 mins at the time.

  i was just 18 years old when i gave my first public talk and this was a first step to moving rapidly through the ranks.

  Waton; not even orchestrated by local elders, mom calls the shots they just nod yes

  Tech; only good thing about reading is you do not have a householder, and I am a good reader so do not even have to do any more than find the start and stop places

  A lot of unverifiable stories I hear also are related to me by workmates be they catholic, Presbyterian, or baptist. How many have heard about the kid being saved from a snake ( lion, car) because he always obeys dad?

  the basic virtue for a human being is to be true to yourself – the integrity of thought, emotion, and action.. .

  ten years ago ( after 32 years as a jehovah's witness), i finally decided that my own mental sanity and being true to myself was more important than attending congregation meetings and serving the watchtower society.

  i stopped (years before) field service, the ministry school, answering at the watchtower studies, missed numerous meetings and walked in minutes before the meetings started and left after the closing prayer, i knew it was time to leave.

  Future. Either someone sees this if i forget to erase, someone sees me voting, or wife is gone so i don't need to consider her needs

  They are all madeup now. If they cant find a similar one to massage they script it. I asked a family i knew about their problems, and got laughed at. All made up

  The biggest aha came when wife got a DVD of an assembly from a different part of the country: experience was word for word as the one locally

  That training is a make believe skit. There has never been a householder or study that acts that way. Almost all the. brothers were insulted when they added them to the householder type talks. There is no thinking needed for any of the " training"

  i hear rumbling about the rank and file not having the same zeal they had when new.. lets see: door to door at the time least likely to find someone.

  I remember wishing for cancellation. Then go to the store for a bottle of wine. There are a lot of older ones now though

  Is the old hall still in use or do the ones living further away just fail to come?

  i bet the dubs 105 and older can be counted on your fingers..

  I looked up that stuff about the Y. Then looked up about religious hospitals. Completely different.

  What if the Y was the only reasonable course? Funny no mention of Salvation army stores, soup kitchens, shriners hospitals, st jude, or Mormon pantries.

  Every one a charitable organization you can see doing good.

  I found a part where they are right: " we do not know......."
